The Mediterranean Ritual of Flavor
Hosted by Sherwood Exclusive Kemer, the 5th edition of the Traditional 07.07 Antalya Gastronomy Festival offered both local and international guests an unforgettable culinary experience by blending the ancient flavors of the Mediterranean with modern interpretations. The festival featured a wide variety of geographically significant dishes such as hibeş, melatura sauté, tomato civesi, mung bean soup with sour orange, pumpkin-stuffed flatbread, and kid skewers grilled on bay branches—all of which drew great attention.
Five Years on the Trail of Taste
Launched five years ago with the motto “One Plate, One Story”, SherwoodFest Cuisinatolia continues to bring fresh inspiration to the world of gastronomy each year. This year’s event revived forgotten local flavors, deeply rooted in tradition, through the creative touch of master chefs.
More Than Gastronomy: A Cultural Journey
SherwoodFest is more than a food festival—it’s an experiential stage where local culture is kept alive. Before each presentation, chefs shared the historical background and preparation stories of the dishes. Details such as which grove the olive oil came from, when the leaves were picked, or how the sour orange reduction was prepared added depth and meaning to every bite.

Al Fresco Dining Experiences
Long tables set against the stunning natural backdrop of Sherwood Exclusive Kemer gave guests the warm sensation of dining in a charming Mediterranean village. As the evening progressed, local music and folk dance performances elevated the festive spirit.
A Sustainable Approach to Flavor
All ingredients used throughout the event were sourced from local producers in the region. This not only supported the local economy but also reflected a deep respect for nature by embracing the principles of seasonal and regional consumption.
Drawing inspiration from Antalya’s fertile soil, the salty breeze of the Mediterranean, and the timeless cuisine of Anatolia, the Traditional 07.07 Antalya Gastronomy Festival once again proved it is more than just a festival. It is a contemporary cultural celebration that honors the unifying power of food and revives the ritual of gathering around the table. And clearly, the anticipation for the sixth edition has already begun.
