Accommodation and Aviation Merge in Russia: Hotel Check-in Service Launches in Krasnaya Polyana

A New Standard in Guest Experience

Krasnaya Polyana resort in Sochi has introduced a first-of-its-kind service in Russia, allowing guests to complete flight check-in and drop off their luggage directly from the hotel. Launched at Rixos Krasnaya Polyana Sochi, the initiative integrates airline and hotel services in a single point of contact.

Airport Queues Become a Thing of the Past

Guests can present their passports and flight details at a dedicated hotel area to receive their boarding passes and hand over their luggage, which is securely sealed and transferred to Sochi Airport. This eliminates the need for queuing at the terminal, ensuring comfort until the very last day of their stay.

Operational Security and Technology Integration

The service is managed by accredited personnel, and each piece of luggage is digitally tracked: seal, timestamp, responsible staff member, and photographic record are logged into the system. This model is seen as a benchmark for end-to-end traceability in the sector.

Industry Voices

Tovmas Darbinyan, General Manager of Rixos Krasnaya Polyana Sochi, commented:

“We are removing logistical barriers so our guests can enjoy their holidays until the very last moment. This service will set a new standard in Russia by merging comfort, security, and technology.”

Aleksey Komarov, Operations Manager of Sochi Airport, emphasized that the service will complement existing solutions such as Sochi Connect, Fast Track, and self-check-in points.

A New Competitive Edge in Luxury Tourism

While hotel-based check-in and baggage services are offered at only a few select properties worldwide, the Krasnaya Polyana initiative marks a pioneering step in Russian tourism. According to industry experts, it will not only enhance the brand value of participating hotels but also increase the operational efficiency of airports.
